Answers to Your Questions

How can I apply to take an Imagination Lab course?

To apply, simply complete the application form through this link:   https://www.theimaginationlab.online/challenges

Please ensure that you apply a few days before the start date of the course you wish to join. Once your application has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email . At the same time, you will receive an information pack with all the practical information required for your course, an invitation to join the class, together with an invoice according to the payment plan of your choice.

Do courses start and end at set times? How long do I have to complete it?

As the courses are interactive and consist of mostly coursework projects and tasks, they all have set start dates in the first Monday of the month. The courses run for 12 weeks consecutively from that date. All the work for the course needs to be completed during that time.

Is The Imagination Lab accredited? Do I receive anything at the end of the course?

The Imagination Lab is in its first year of operation and is not accredited yet. However, the courses are designed and supervised by qualified professionals in their areas, ensuring they meet a high standard. The Music Creator courses are graded according to the syllabi of the ABRSM and Trinity Music Theory Examinations. On completion of the courses, you will be at the level to write the corresponding Music Theory Exam should you wish to do so eg: Beginner = ABRSM Music theory Grade 1, Level 2 = ABRSM Music Theory Grade 2 etc..

How does payment for the courses work?

On receipt of your application and confirmation of a place in the course, you will receive an invoice according to the payment plan of your choice either weekly, monthly or in full. Payment can be made by EFT. Fees need to be paid in advance, according to your chosen payment plan to secure your place and continue with the course.

How many online meetings are there for each course? When do they take place?

There are two 30 minutes live online classes every week. The classes take place in the late afternoon or early evening depending on your time zone. The first one will be on either a Monday or Tuesday and the second on either a Thursday or Friday, and will be confirmed on application.

What can I do if I find a course is not working out for me?

Should you find, during the course, that you encounter unforeseen problems and cannot continue during that session, you may discontinue the course, from the following week. Should you wish to resume within the same year, you may pick up a course at the same point that you left it. Should a period longer than 1 year transpire, you will need to start from the beginning of the course when you resume.
